February BoxyCharm Reveal

Hi everyone! I have been eyeing up BoxyCharm for awhile and finally decided to subscribe! I got my first box this month so I thought I would share the contents with you and what I thought of each of them. The cost of BoxyCharm is $21 a month plus tax with free shipping. All the products are full size unlike most beauty box subscriptions.

The first thing I noticed when I opened my box was the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara. The retail value for this mascara is $24 which is more than the cost of the box! It’s one of the best selling mascaras in the world and I can see why! I fell in love from the first use, it coats your lashes evenly without leaving clumps and effortlessly gives you more volume and length (which I need for my stubby lashes).

I also got the Pretty Vulgar shimmering swan highlighter in glow up. I’ve been using this every day since I opened my box, I love it. The retail cost is $32 which is also more than the cost of the box. At this point I’m already happy I decided on this subscription box because the first two products equal more than  what I spent.

The next product I noticed was the Touch In Sol No Poreblem Primer. This is my new favorite primer of all time. It goes on so smoothly and makes your skin feel super soft. It also smells really good. The retail price for this primer is $18.

My last two products are a Prime and Glaze lip crayon from Trestique in the color english rose and Clean Bee facial cleanser from Farmacy. The color of the lip crayon is a deep red/maroon color, and although I’m not normally a red person I really like it. The first thing I noticed about the cleanser was the smell. It smells like pure alcohol, which honestly was a turn off, but it does make your face feel squeaky clean. The retail prices for these two items are $25 and $22 respectively.

Overall I was impressed with my first box and will be keeping my subscription for awhile! Keep in mind that everyone doesn’t get the exact same contents in their box. Usually three items are all the same and two are a variety. If you would like to sign up, you can use my link Thanks for reading!

My Favorite Drugstore Beauty Products

Maybelline Baby Skin Poreless Primer

Elf Poreless Primer

Both primers leave my skin with a smooth surface for my foundation. I haven’t really noticed that they make my pores look smaller, although for the price, they do the job.

Maybelline Superstay Matte Foundation

I LOVE this foundation! Since my face is naturally pretty oily, I always had issues with foundations feeling like they are literally sliding off my face by the end of the day. I remember the days that I couldn’t wait to go home to wash my face. Not with this foundation. I can go all day without feeling like my face is sliding off and it’s pretty full coverage.

Loreal Paris Lash Paradise

Loreal Voluminous False Fiber Lash

Rimmel ScandalEyes Curve Alert

As much as I love a good deal, I feel that splurging on a mascara pays off. With that being said, I still buy drugstore brands because well, I’m not rich. Rimmel’s Curve Alert mascara is by far my favorite, it evenly coats your lashes for both added length and volume while making them more curled and fanned out. When I use Loreal’s Lash Paradise I also have to use their Voluminous False Fiber lashes to get both length and volume, but together they work nicely.

Curology Review

IMG-9081I was in the market for a new skincare routine, and quite frankly the options were endless and exhausting. For me personally, I didn’t want to spend a fortune on the top brands not knowing for sure they would fit my needs. When I came across Curology, they were offering a free trial in which I only had to pay for shipping (only $6, I can handle that) so I bit the bullet and made my purchase. I wasn’t expecting much from this to be honest, but I have to say I have been pleasantly surprised with my results. They claim you may not see results for 4-6 weeks but I saw results in the first couple days. My skins feels smoother and my skin tone appears more even. My acne is all but gone and my acne marks are fading. I have to say I don’t feel that it’s getting super deep into my pores like an exfoliator would but so far it’s doing the job well. After your free trial, you can choose to be billed monthly (19.95 + 4.95 S&H) or bimonthly (39.90 + free shipping) for just the prescribed cream. To get the cleanser, prescribed cream, and moisturizer you have to choose bimonthly (59.90 + free shipping). If you would like to try a free trial I will include a link below. Thanks for reading!
